What does the Chrome extension do?
It's an AI browser agent that lives in your Chrome side panel. You give it a goal in plain English; it clicks, types, and navigates your real tabs to accomplish it — using your real logged-in accounts, locally.
How is the extension different from the cloud?
The cloud (platform.browseanything.io) runs the agent in our managed Chromium browser — great for scheduled jobs, monitoring, scraping at scale, and anything that should run headlessly. The extension runs the same agent inside YOUR local Chrome — great for logged-in tasks, multi-tab workflows, and anything that uses your real accounts. Same Browse Anything account and credits across both. Telegram and ClawHub trigger the cloud, not the extension.
Does the Telegram bot drive the Chrome extension?
No — the Telegram bot triggers our cloud Chromium browser, not your local Chrome. Both share the same Browse Anything account and credits, so picking between them is really a choice of which browser the task runs in: your local one (extension, with your real logins) or our cloud one (Telegram, ClawHub, or the cloud dashboard). Telegram-to-extension control is on the roadmap but not available today.
Does it work with my logged-in Gmail, Slack, Salesforce, LinkedIn?
Yes — that's the main reason to use the extension over the cloud. Anything you can do as a logged-in user in your Chrome, the agent can do too, with your existing session. No re-auth.
Which AI models does the extension support?
All major providers: Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini, Groq Llama, DeepSeek, Kimi, and any OpenRouter model. Bring your own API key (no credit cost) or use included credits. Switch models per task.
What does it cost?
Free to install with a usable free tier (200 credits/month, 2 AI models, 1 browser session). Pro at $9.99/mo includes 700 credits, all AI models, captcha solving, and Telegram. Ultra at $45/mo brings 3,500 credits, API access, and 10 concurrent sessions. Same plan applies to both the extension and the cloud.
Is my data sent anywhere?
DOM observation and clicks happen locally in your Chrome. The prompts you send to the LLM go directly to the AI provider you chose. Browse Anything servers only see what's needed for credit accounting — never your page content, cookies, or saved logins.
Can the extension run scheduled tasks or monitoring while I'm away?
Not yet — scheduled tasks and monitoring currently run on our cloud Chromium browser, not the extension. If you need 24/7 recurring runs (price tracking, daily reports, content monitoring), use the cloud platform on the same account and same plan. Scheduling for the extension is on the roadmap.
Will it work on Edge, Brave, or Firefox?
Edge and Brave today (both Chromium-based — install from the Chrome Web Store). Firefox and Safari are on the roadmap.
Is it safe? I'm nervous about an AI clicking on my behalf.
Reasonable concern. The agent runs in 'approve risky actions' mode by default — anything that submits, sends, pays, or deletes pauses for your confirmation. You can tune autonomy per domain, watch every action live in the side panel, and pause at any time.
